If a little more care was given.......
I would recommend this facility if I could guarantee you that your room was in better condition than ours was. Our room apparently had not been used for a month since there was an unanswered voicemail from 10/6 ( amonth earlier than our arrival) flashing on the phone. The kitchen wall where chairs rub against it was badly in need in painting and the outside table and chairs were filthy. This could have been a rare exception though. The facility itself was very nice, the golf course was terrific and the resort was well placed for what we wanted to do. Check in staff were excellent as well.
Things to do: Brookgreen Gardens is a must. Huntington State Beach is terrific and uncrowded. Georgetown is a nice day trip. Bicycle around Pawleys Island and on the beach. Nightlife: Definitely hit Fontinellos in Murrels Inlet on Friday night and enjoy Becca on Piano and the back room shag group. best Italian food around. Olivers Lodge is a must for dinner. Real old style feel and the food is great.

Not a hotel
This high quality time share is near the ocean (pass to the state park is included) and has golf courses attached. It has fine accommodations, but it does not resemble a hotel.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Ellington Wachesea Plantation has Myrtle Beach to the north, but is in a nicer area. The beach at Huntington State park is uncrowded. Charleston, SC, a real gem, is a great day trip. So there is plenty to enjoy. No shortage of good restaurants and shopping areas, either.
