Great Hotel
Husband and I went for a weekend getaway and were impressed. Room was very clean, great location-just a short walk up to the main street, decent breakfast, and unexpectedly had a refrigerator and microwave. Don’t see paying their unreasonable normal rates, but a great deal for what we got.

Short stop on the way home
I booked this through Expedia at a significantly cheaper rate than the hotel was offering. Only problem with that: they wouldn’t/couldn’t guarantee my preference (smoking). So, we got a non-smoking room. Turned out to be no big deal. The hotel was extremely nice and clean. Three things were not as good. The "mountain view" was the view of a parking lot and the side of a mountain and the lock on our door broke twice while we were there. Also, the parking is HORRID. I have an SUV and the garage is very low. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this hotel for any type of trip.

Good value for the area.
I was satisfied with my visit to the Edgewater. I like to stay here because of the convience to the main street in Gatlinburg. Everything is within walking distance. The hotel is a good value for the area. The area does not have many 4 or 5 star hotels and building space is limited. This hotel provides clean rooms, little noise, and a good rate.
