Advertised Pictures Much Nicer Than Reality
We were very disappointed and shocked when we walked into our hotel. Always hotels put their most money in the appearance of their lobby but not this one. The furniture was extremely old and looked pitiful. The carpets in the hallways leading to our room were also ancient and dirty. The bed coverings in our room were also extremely old, fainted, and looked dirty (although I am sure they were not). It was just a shame because I had done a to of research before booking this hotel and everyone raved so much about it. But no one mentioned that the hotel is due for a major renovation and cleanup. The only good thing going for the hotel was that our room was extremely quiet.
Traveler's tip on nightlife
If you really want to see the nightlife you will have to take a nap so that you can be up between 1 am and 5 am to enjoy the nightlife. Nothing happens before midnight for sure.

The room does stink but opening the window helps
Its a very nice building, conviently located to the major attractions, but if you run the AC the room does smell like sewer gas. Its not all rooms. I was travelling with another couple and I made the reservations so I was sort of happy that their room didnt smell. The rooftop terrace is nice but pricey. Same with breakfast. The male desk staff is haughty but competent. Also, we didnt like Seville. The El Giraldine Restaurant (off the square at the back of the cathedral) ripped us off -- all very legally, 27% on top of menu and wine prices, 30 Euro plus 27% for house wine -- the most expensive meal in Spain. The cathedral is not worth seeing (dark, dusty and under construction) and the tower was closed on Sunday.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The only thing worth seeing in Seville is the tango at Casa de la Memoria de Al-Andalus.

Fantastic location! Close to center.
The design and architecture of th ehotel was amazing, but there was a strange sewage smell in the rooms. We had a total of four rooms- and they all smelled bad.
