Hip, fun, and cool

Excellent features in the rooms like an electronic do not disturb and housekeeping button. Beautiful well equipped bathrooms with heated floors. Outstanding health club facility with pool. Hotel bar, restaurants, were the places to be seen and of high quality.

This is an excellent location, close to the convention center, but of a quieter boutique nature. Tons of restaurants two blocks away if you desire something more lively.

Very nice hotel

We usually stay at the Four Seasons in Toronto b/c we like its neighbourhood. But, we’d seriously consider returning to the SoHo Met. Very nice room (321), helpful staff, etc.

Great place, helpful staff

The Hotel was Super! The hotel, thh staff and everything was great. The only problem was the restaraunt, Sen5es, it looks nice but other than that it was terrible but i dont usually consider them one and the same, so iu would would stay at the Soho again in a heartbeat.

Exceeded expectations on almost every point

The staff were fantastic. Friendly and knowledgeable. The view out the window was a construction site, but inside, the "Luxury Room" (king bed, shower + soaker bathtub, separate dressing room) was comfortable and quiet, with plenty of space to hang / store clothes etc.

Download Bach First Suite for Unaccompanied Cello onto your MP3 player, snag some picnic-able provisions from the Fresh & Wild market around the corner, hop the 510 streetcar down to the bottom of Spadina, and enjoy a weekend afternoon in the beautiful Toronto Music Garden.

A great location for nightlife

The hotel is located in a great location for nightlife and is conveniently located near restaurants and shopping

Disappointing

We stayed here once before and loved the hotel, so we went back when we were in Toronto again. We were disappointed in the hotel this time - we believe we were a given a room that was not at the level we booked (which was supposed to be a luxury room). The heated floors in our room did not work, and one of the vanity lights in the bathroom was out. The staff was not all that helpful, and when we asked for directions to the restaurant they recommended, they gave us wrong directions and marked the wrong place on the map. When we told them this they didn’t even say sorry. Overall do not recommend - it is not worth the money.

Would stay any time

This hotel has it all helpful staff, great location, great resturant, and great facility! I would stay here again any time.

Stylish and comfortable

The soho met is located downtown near the harbor, CN center, and other attractions. The boutique hotel feel meant great service (you won’t feel like you’re one in a million other guests), and the rooms were stylish, comfortable and luxurious. We even got a free upgrade when they found out we were in town for a celebration. The only downside is that the nearest subway station is a few blocks away (about a 15 minute walk). And be careful of extra fees....we got charged $15 for using the pool/fitness center, which they didn’t mention ahead of time would cost extra. But otherwise, beautiful rooms and great service!

Traveler's tip on dining

Le Select Bistro and Rodney’s Oyster House nearby were terrific! Also had an amazing meal at Pure Spirits in the Distillery District.

Refuse the Elevator Room

I stayed at the Soho Met for a Business trip and was given a room right across from the elevator on the fourth floor. I didn’t have time to squabble w/ the front desk -- as a result, stayed up all night listening to loud elevator binging as the doors opened and closed. Requested another room the next morning and was CHARGED an $11 service fee to move my luggage there while I was at a business meeting. Hotel staff wasn’t apologetic about setting me up for a sleepless night. Also, location a dud -- wasn’t convenient to anything.

Upscale, Clean, Friendly and Great Location

Great downtown location with upscale lobby, bar and large rooms with granite baths. Staff is terrific, friendly and helpful. There is a fair sized business center and a staffed gym facility. Great place t stay for business or relaxation.
