Enjoyed our three day stay
Our room was very clean and comfortable. We ate the Thursday night meal and three breakfasts. For a hotel buffett we thought it was very good. We enjoyed the easy access to the Metro Station and the hotel drove us the two blocks over when it rained. We were close to restaurants and really enjoyed having a "Whole Foods" market within a block. Wed stay there again if we go to DC.

Over and above
I had high expectations for this hotel, but was even more pleasantly surprised upon checking in. 2 block pleasant walk to the DC Metro, 1 block to Whole Foods, 1 1/2 blocks to a Crate & Barrel OUTLET, free parking, very clean bright and pleasant room, LOVED the kitchen and how it was stocked, full HOT breakfast, pool. As we were leaving around dinnertime to go find some food, we noticed people with plates in the lobby.....FREE dinner too!!! And for the adults, 2 free adult drinks. My only disappointment was that there was no availability when I wanted to extend our stay. Well definitely go there again, and Ive already recommended it to others. Very family friendly, but I noticed lots of Peace Corps types and probable govt. functionaries, who also seemed content to be there.

Not Overwhelmed
Because we slept in later on Memorial Day, we did not get any room service!!! We had to go to the front desk and ask for clean towels. No clean sheets on that day. There should be clean sheets and towels EVERY DAY. When we got to the room, there was a note saying that they only give clean towels if the dirty ones are left in the floor!! The air conditioning blew right on our bed!! We dont like that and NO way to adjust the vents. Lousy cable selection for such an expensive room. Very over priced. Breakfast was good, but why not offer it room service. On vacation not everyone wants to get up as usual to eat. Our chance to sleep in, but you cannot if you want to eat for free. Their food in the canteen was OVER PRICED as is everything in this area.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Choose a more family friendly location as this was overpriced.
