Cheap and clean, but you get what you pay for
The Lamp Post Inn is a nice cheap alternative. To me, it is acceptable considering the cost. But it is not "nice." The furniture is old, the bed was not particularly comfortable, the TV was small, the walls are a tad thin, etc. That said, it is very clean and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. For the cost, it is a good option. I would definitely go back.

Quality help
The the night staff at the Lamp Post Inn is very helpful. We were driving into Ann Arbor after 10:00pm and could not locate the Inn, the help figured out where we were and gave us directions to the hotel. He than left our keys in the mailbox and allowed us to sign the check in forms in the morning.

A hotel more like a home
Owner Mr Bruce and all his assistants are very helpful. During our stay, they provided a very good service, although the breakfast is simple, but I feel that just at home. I feel that curtain can provide more privacy than blind. Perhaps this is the only thing have to be improved.
Strongly recommended.
