Unusual quality for an interstate stopover
Villa del Lago is probably the only hotel in Patterson, CA, and surprisingly good for a stopover on Highway 5. The rooms are very comfortable and the restaurant serves good food with friendly service. The swimming pool is an after-thought (too small and unattractive) but if you can overlook this grumble you’ll be pleased with the quality for the price.
Traveler's tip for business travelers
For food and refreshments,stick to the Rogers Road facilities. Downtown Patterson is as dull as ditchwater and offers nothing of interest.

Average Hotel
I don’t have much to say. Everything was ok. They don’t have free breakfast which it didn’t matter to me. They are located in a good place where there are many restaurants/inns around. Also I brought in my dog here with me since it’s a dog-friendly hotel but they didn’t seem to either like my dog or hate her. So it was ok overall - it won’t be waste of your money if you stayed here.

Locked out at 3:00am
Overall the hotel was decent, but there were several issues: First, we came back at about 3:00am from taking care of my 92 year-old grandmother and our keys did not work. The front desk clerk made a second set...and THEY did not work! Finally at 3:30 we got in. Second, the noise from the bar/restaurant area on Friday night was a little much, and we were clear up on the third floor. Finally, our bedspread had a hole in it. I am pretty picky so maybe it was just me, but I was not OVERLY impressed.
