Small and quaint
Our room was nice and clean. My only complaint was the size. It was rather small. We barely had room to put our luggage. Other than that we were well pleased. It was in a good location. The breakfast was satisfactory. It was just a small quiet and quaint hotel. Would probably stay there again if need arrises.

Well... you can definitely find better.
The title says it all, really. When we first checked into the hotel in the afternoon, the lady did not seem very warm and also made a particular reminder to us not to bring any outside food into the hotel. Odd, we did not get that from any other hotels, but anyway. Once we got into the room, it was practically the smallest room weve ever had in Italy. I found dead mosquitoes on the curtain and the bedsheet. The bed was comfortable, but theres definite room for improvement for cleanliness. The shower fold is a joke as it leaks no matter how you position it. Breakfast is good, however, and the service is more friendly there. Lido is a beautiful place to stay, but on the last day when we leave, the same lady (who greeted us the first day) did not seem to care to inform us of the strike on the water buses and as a result we had to lug our luggage all the way from S. Marco to the train station. This happened on our honeymoon, too! I wished the hotel could have at least warned the guest about the strike, either by leaving a note under the door or letting us know verbally when we walk in and out of the hotel. In all, I would not stay at this hotel again, though I may still consider Lido as a lodging destination next time. Venice was a wonderful place to visit.
Traveler's tip on dining
stay away from the main street in Lido. Those are for tourists... try to go around the neighborhood and there are better (and cheaper) ones to visit for sure.
