tiny but nice
The hotel was very sweet except that the room I had, although it had a nice view through the leaves, was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. There was no desk and I could hardly fit between the furniture. Comfortable bed and good water pressure though. I suspect there are bigger ones and would suggest asking for one.

Good but small
Real nice hotel, but small rooms. Good breakfast and good service (except for 1 grumpy employee). Overall, had a good experience, though I dont think it was such a good value overall. Part of the reason it is not a good value is because of the area. Sultanhanamet is clean, safe, and convenient if it is your first time in Istanbul. But the hotels and restaurants are all expensive and there is no night life. Better to stay near Taksim Square. But if you stay in SUltanhanamet, Hotel Poem is not a bad choice.

Romantic hotel with great staff!
My fiance and I stayed at the Hotel Poem earlier this month. We love the place. The staff is friendly and helpful and speak fluent English. Our room had a view of the Bosphorous and a lovely plant/garden area. So romantic. We will definitely stay here again our next time in Istanbul. 5 minute walk to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Tokpaki Palace. Great neighborhood to stay in with lots of restaurants and cafes right outside of the hotel.
