comfort at a good price

this is a good place to stay if you like quiet and few amenities. You need a car because the store is too far too walk. Pool is nice. You are free to lounge around and enjoy the great weather and sunshine.

Vilamoura: not a place for the young at heart

Prados Villas are individual villas so typical hotel services don’t apply. Villa decor nothing to rant about; beds weren’t too comfortable. The grounds and villas were well kept though, for the cost, but Prados Villas are lower end/budget for sure. Snhra Maria at reception made up for it in charm and her readiness to assist. If you’re not driving, Prados Villas and its relation to activities will prove a challenge. The town Villamoura is challenge enough and leaves much to be desired. Don’t play golf? Aren’t middle-aged and over, with a family? Then Villamoura doesn’t offer much in the way of anything to do, at all. The 30 min winding walk from villa to Marina (town center) is filled with views of bush. If you’re young and single, wanting access to nightlife with the option for beach, Albufeira is a better bet than Vilamoura. To salvage any bit of our trip to Portugal, to even consider returning there at all, we high-tailed it back to Lisbon before our scheduled departure from Prados Villas. (When I’m in my 60s with children and swinging a golf club is major execise, then I’ll return to Vilamoura. The staff totally understood.)

Traveler's tip on nightlife

There’s isn’t any to speak of at all. If you’re in Vilamoura nad want nightlife of more than 10 people, go to Albufeira.
