Food is disgusting...night life is great
Family of five and we survived...it is a hike to the beach. The all inclusive is worth it if you drink...food is horrid! Evening entertainment was okay...Stay again at this resort...prob not...Visited in July and there was NO A/C Have to say we are the type that make the best of it...so we made it fun...most would not!

Not impressed
I thought this would be a family type of place to stay. It was not. The other guests had little regard for people sleeping in the rooms around them. At 3AM like clockwork, drunks would come in yelling and since there is no AC, it was necessary to have the balcony doors open. No security guard ever approached the situation. I just thought it was ridiculous. The all-inclusive was also a large disappointment. The food was either fried or soggy. I was hoping for a lot more than was recieved.

Great price. Good location. Wish the pool was heated.
We were two people going to Mallorca for a week of rock climbing. We wanted to stay close to the mountains of west Mallorca, and Porto Alcudia turned out to be a great location. It was easy to drive in and out from there to the places where we went climbing. They also provided the cheapest room rates we could find for Mallorca. The hotel was very professionally run. The room had a good kitchen which we used a lot. The only things which could have been better were: - The pool was really cold. For going early in the summer (we went in May), it would be nice to have a heated pool or a hot tub. - The hotel gym is quite a let down with just some weight lifting stuff. No cardio machines (eg. such as a treadmill) or other things. But we would gladly go back there again even if none of these are addressed.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
If you go climbing in Mallorca, you can buy a guide book (and other gear) in the climbing store in Puerto Pollenca. Ask your way around to find it.
