Basic Hotel in Vilnius

This hotel is a good, clean basic hotel in Vilnius. It is a few steps from one side of Old Town, which makes it quite a good location, but not central. Some of the items in it’s description, however, are not entirely accurate. The rooms ARE clean and extremely basic, but with NO air conditioning. Since our room was a southern exposure, and with only one window, it remained quite warm all evening. The buffet breakfast was minimal with no frills or extras. The food supply was not replenished when needed. The staff was quite friendly and always had a smile. They spoke English, as well. All in all, our stay was OK. I do not think, however, that my family and I would choose to stay here again. The price was comparable to some of the other Old Town hotels which have a more central location and better amenities for the price.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Be sure to experienced the Gates of Dawn, containing it’s beautiful icon of Our Lady across the street from the hotel. Also, a brand new wax museum is right in the area. Don’t miss it! It has a life size depiction of DaVinci’s Last Supper! This entire area provides an excellent opportunity for shopping for some beautiful pieces of amber. Don’t miss Old Town Vilnius...I think the most beautiful Old Town in Europe.. with all it’s narrow streets and many surprises!
