Grand Hotel terminus
This hotel has old world charm. The people were very nice and helpful with advice. I stayed here twice in a double room. The first time, I had a very large room that was more of a suite. The second time , it was a small room ( typical for Europe)but nice. A double room has twin beds pushed together, however, this is true in all the hotels I stayed at in Norway. Nice bathroom’s with big tubs. The hotel is a block from a busy street, but the rooms were quiet on the 5th floor. Right across for the train station and within easy walking distance of the museums and the harbor and fish market.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Bergen is a nice place to see by walking. Also enjoyed the three hour tour arranged by the tourist office near the fish market. Go up the funicular for a beautiful view of the city. I also enjoyed the museums. The aquarium has very nice seals and pengiuns, but also a very, very large number of alligator/crocodiles ( I don’t know why). Took the Hurugruten from bergen ot bergen which was great.

Very useful for late night arrival in Bergen by train - immediately accross from train station and handled late night check-in efficiently and courteously.

The Terminus in Bergen is conveniently located next to Bergens Central station and walking distance from the City’s main attractions. Breakfast and High-speed Internet are included in the price making it good value for money. The Hotel breathes atmosphere and heritage, making one feel at home rather than being at yet-another-place-to-stay.

Take the Floibanen to the top of the Hill. View is breathtaking and Lunch is good.
