Convenient
Location is best if you are traveling to/from China by train, right across the street from Hum Hom Station. There’s a van every 20 minutes to and from sister The Kowloon Hotel in midtown Kowloon... its a 5 minute trip... really convenient. Right around the corner is the subway station with trains to Central in Hong Kong Island. The rooms are quite small... tight to 2 people, ok for one, but that seems to be the norm in Hong Kong. The hotel is well maintained and staff are really friendly and speak good English. The breakfast buffet is really good, with choices for all tastes. There’s a shopping center in the same building, with a food court (all local food), a supermarket, bank, ect. I only had one complaint... the room atmosphere was always very humid, despite having A/C. The windows can’t be open for venting. Other than that the hotel is a great choice and I would definitely stay there again.

Perfect Location
IF you are on your way to China - this is the place to stay. It is also close to Nathan Road and quality of hotel is really good.

Great convenience, quality hotel
If you want to be right in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui (the equivalent of walking right out on Times Square in New York or Piccadily Square in London) then don’t stay here. If, however, you want a bit of a retreat from the stress and TST bustle then you’ll love the Metropolis. Perfect for travels into China proper (the Hung Hom train station is next door), perfect for access to the MTR subway (just next door), fully equipped with great restaurants, fitness center and pool. The service is good quality here too. The hotel offers free shuttle bus service every 20 minutes to its sister hotel, the Kowloon, right in TST - which then provides easy walking access to Harbour City, Star Ferry, other MTR stations, and all that shopping along Nathan Road. From the Metropolis you may also access the Promenade Walk, to stroll along the Kowloon coast and walk over to the Avenue of the Stars.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Always take the Airport Express train to and from the airport. It is inexpensive, FAST, frequent, and simply stellar. Get off at the Kowloon Station stop and the K1 shuttle bus (free for Airport Express customers) will stop at the Harbour Plaza Metropolis. Couldn’t be easier or more stress-free.
