Great location, will stay again
The hotel was a quick few-minute walk from the Rialto vaporetto stop and easy to find. The location was great - not too busy but close to everything. The staff spoke English and was very helpful, although we wouldnt go back to the restaurant (La Feluca) that was recommended to us. The rooms were small, clean and quiet, and the breakfast was really nice. Would definitely consider staying there again.

Great Location
My husband and I stayed at the hotel Palazzo la Scala for two nights in September. We bought a street map of Venice before our trip and made sure we could find the hotel on the map.So, we had no difficulty finding it.On arrival, we were upgraded to a junior suite because we were "young".The staff at the desk spoke wonderful English and were very helpful. You leave your key anytime you leave the hotel and they remembered who we were and would hand us the correct key without us reminding them our names, very personable. Our room was located on the 4th floor. There is a small elevator for those who do not care for the stairs. The room was very nice, there was a sitting area with a love seat (we noticed it was a pull out bed as well)on the first floor and the second floor is where the bed and TV was located. The first floor also had a window that looked out to "street" and other buildings. We kept the window open for a nice breeze and it was fun to look out and people watch a bit. The room was very clean and had a safe and mini bar. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful, among the best we had in Italy. It consisted of meats, cheeses, cereals, fruit, pastries, juices, espresso, cappucionos, hot chocolate... A great variety. The location was great, close but not too close to San Marco. You could easily walk to any site you wanted to see and we did. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice.

just fine
to have no (or very few complaints) about ones lodging in Venice is a rare thing.
