Comfort and Friendly Service
My husband and I went to Disney for our 60th birthday(s)but did not want to stay at or close to the parks, since we had plans on International Drive in the evenings and also didnt want to pay 3xs more for our trip. The hotel was great; the staff went out of their way to help us and the breakfast was excellent. The hot items changed each morning, so their was nice variety. It was never overly crowded, since most families seemed to prefer being closer to the Disney parks. For us, a 15 to 20 minute ride twice a day was no big deal at all. When we left the busy-ness of the parks, we came back to a more peaceful environment. Late at night or early in the AM, coffee and tea were always available (24 hours a day) in the lobby and staff went out of their way to accommodate us either with information on restaurant delivery to the hotel, our comfort needs or anything else we had questions about. We would definitely stay there again and thank the staff for their wonderful service.
Traveler's tip on dining
If you are in this area, I would highly recommend Cuba Libre on International Drive. It is the 3rd in a line of restaurants - the first being in Philadelphia, the second at the Tropicana in Atlantic City, NJ and now their newest in Orlando. Everything is wonderful and on weekend nights they have music and entertainment. A bit pricey but worth it, especially if you like real Cuban food (not tex mex makeover:).
