Super 8 Palo Alto
No non smoking rooms were available and the hotel couldn’t accommodate my request for a chenge in the room. The room was dusty, stuffy and smelled like old cigars. I saw evidence that they were ripping out carpets - which made it hard to navigate the parking lot - so perhaps they are upgrading. The location, about a mile from Stanford U. was just fine. Internet access was OK. The physical environment of the room made the stay unpleasant.

worse than expected
I didn’t expect a five star hotel but the smell and cleaness is barely tolerable considering I am at the super 8. Towels seem wet and breakfast is a joke. I suggest another hotel if you can afford a little more money
