Right in the center of everything
The Sheraton was beautiful and right in the heart of Old San Juan and on the bay. I loved being on the 9th floor with the pool and the blinds in the room. The room was great and up to my standards. I would suggest giving more towels out, or towels for especially for those who go to the pool. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
If there are cruise ships in the harbor Old San Juan is bustling with people and all the businesses are open. If there are no ships everything closes down early. I would spend these days at the beach, exploring El Junque or at the casino.

The staff was great!
The staff was very very pleasant, however the amenities lacked alot. I felt really bad for the staff when I checked out 5 hours later, but the ambiance was very depressing.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Normandie however it was in a need of repair.
I also understand that the Normandie is going to closed down for repairs and it did need some construction, chipped paint, the rugs needed replacing and the furniture was worn.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
It was 2 and a quarter mile from Old San Juan which is walking distant from the hotel on the way we walked by the ocean, went to the Capital past the Castle and went dinning for lunch at a ethnic restaurant. Than went to the Fort overall an enjoyable first day.
