would go back without a doubt
this is a no frills hotel. clean,comfortable and a very freindly service oriented staff, always there to help you out on any request. breakfast was a pleasent surprise.

Cologne
Convinient. Tram station just around the corner. Really you do not need any car to get araound Colone and sorrounding areas. We stayed in anew section of this hotel, was fine and good breakfast service.

Recommended only for lower prices and if other places are not available
This hotel is strictly OK. I went there for the Interzum 2007 fair; other available hotels were really expensive or far away. Positive: Clean hotel - Good Breakfast - Prices are good - Train station nearby. Negative: Website says 1-2km from fair grounds; actually 7-8kms (not walking distance) - Very limited facilities - WiFi available only on first floor - Some of the staff members are rude - Not at all a 3-star hotel. Personal experience: For some reason, my flight reached Cologne earlier, and I reached the hotel earlier than the check-in time. I was eager to goto the fair; and asked the front desk representative if I can get my room earlier. She told me that it was not cleaned yet. I requested that I have to go, and can’t wait for 2 hours; it would be great if they could help me out, specially after 20 hours long journey. She was trying to help me and her supervisor jumped in.. "Don’t you understand check-in time is 2pm? We just cannot give you room before that time. Rules are rules.. everyone is in hurry".. I felt she was rather rude. I tried to explain - "It is OK if you cannot give me the room, I just need a place where I can change cloths and keep my luggage temporarily." The supervisor was still not ready to listen and asked me to sit in the waiting area for 2 hrs. The other representative was quite helpful. She showed me a storage room for luggage and rest rooms for changing cloths. Go to this place only if you do not have other options.
