Clean, basic, good for the price.
For what one pays this place is fine. I stayed there three nights. The rooms are tiny,as is the en-suite shower/bathroom, but very clean. Breakfast is the usual cereal, toast, ham, cheese buffet and is included. Excellent location near noisy Kings Cross area, but on a not busy street on the safer, quieter side of that area. I suspect one couldnt do better for the price.

Not impressed
This place is really only a good hotel if you need a room for one night next to the Kings Cross/St. Pancras Train Station(s). The rooms are small and without air conditioning. They are also very worn with fairly uncomfortable beds. It looks and smells like a college dorm room but maybe smaller. This may only be a place that you would go with a couple of guys.....I took my wife and was not necessarily proud that we were staying here! The breakfast is included but not very good--ham, cheese, cereal, toast, powder milk, tea, and coffee. The staff was somewhat friendly but not overly helpful. The good: Fairly inexpensive, 5 minute walk from train station, near pubs/restaurants The bad: Smells, Worn down, small, no A/C (not that bad), bad breakfast, not entirely knowledgeable staff, away from a lot of tourist attractions (but next to tube station)
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Use the 2 local pubs nearby as they are both fairly nice: Swintons and Kings Head (which served 2 pound pints during happy hour daily and had darts, etc). Buy and oyster card or all day-travel cards after 9:30 am as they are a little cheaper. There is an internet cafe, KFC, McD, and wash-a-teria all close to this hotel.

Good for a sleeping and showers
This hotel was alright. Our room wasnt clean until about an hour and a half after the regular check in time, so we had to wait in the lobby, dying to take a shower. In that time most of the other guests showing up were treated poorly. Not quite rudely though. It just seemed like the person working the desk had a lot to do with not enough time to do it. I have a feeling that most of the staff is not like that, as the lady we checked out with was very nice. The room wasnt extremely clean but wasnt filthy either. Internet was 5 pounds a day, which is reasonable compared to other places. There was hot water and a spacious bathroom.

Its not that close to Kings Cross / St. Pancras
