Nice but secluded
My wife and I honeymooned at the Park Hyatt resort in Goa for 5 days. Good initial impression. The property is well-maintained, employees are attentive and polite, clean rooms in good condition, good spa, clean beach, great swinmming pools. However this resort is in south goa and far away from the nightlife, resturants, sightseeing, shopping, etc. You need to hire private taxis (easily available) if you want to go anywhere. Taxi rates are higher than average because you have no choice. We wandered a little farther along the beach one day and came across two stray dogs who started following us - my wife started to freak out even though the dogs weren’t aggressive. The swimming pools are fun and well laid. The pool-side bar is painfully slow and one afternoon I had to walk up to the bar 3 times to ask when our drinks would be served. We went in early May and other guests were mostly families with children. Overall a pretty good/safe resort - secluded location may or may not work for you. If you want to stay on resort, this is perfect. Otherwise budget atleast Rs.2000 per day for a private taxi.
Traveler's tip on dining
The on-resort beachside seafood restaurant is great for fresh grilled lobster, tiger prawns, and fish. 4 more typical on-resort restaurants have exhorbitant prices for average food. Nearby off-resort multi-cuisine restaurants (Martin’s Corner and Pentagon) have much better food at a fraction of the resort prices but you need a taxi to go there. The only restaurant within walking distance is called Baltons and served us awful food, so not recommended.

Very Quite
The hotel is nice but remote. The roads were in a very bad conditions due to climatic conditions(Monsons)
