The hotel stole our money!! and a poor english speaking staff
My wife & I were on our honeymoon and we were staying here for 3 nights. We initially had tried to book our room thru the hotel but never received confirmation, so we booked thru Expedia and got confirmed right away. When we checked in, we were informed we had TWO reservations (one thru Expedia & one from the hotel). We pleaded with the hotel to rightfully refund our money for one of the rooms but they acted as if they did not understand our English. Then they tried to check us into BOTH rooms, on our honeymoon!!! We refused to be checked into the other room, and after minutes of pointless arguing, we said we would take it up with our bank. (unfortunately, our bank said the hotel should have refunded us our money and cannot do anything about it) The room we were checked into was on the top floor BUT it faced the side of the building where they were doing construction! So we couldn’t open our drapes the entire time we were there because we did not want any workers looking into our room. The breakfast buffet IS A WASTE OF MONEY (ie EXPENSIVE). Also, we could not order any movies (system was down?) AND our keys were deactivated TWICE so we had to keep going down to the front desk to have them reactivated. How does this happen to a "5-star" hotel? Frankly, this place is all glitz and no glamour, and a waste of money. I don’t mean a waste of money, I mean they STEAL your money. There are other places in Rome that will treat you with more respect and honor than Exedra did.

NEEDS NEW MANAGEMENT. VERY POOR SERVICE.
LEVEL OF SERVICE IS DEPLORABLE. WHOLE STAFF AND MANAGEMENT NEEDS TRAINING PROVIDING HOTEL SERVICES.
Be careful with five stars ratings of hotels in Europe.

Wouldn’t go back - This place is a joke
Paid extra for the "deluxe" room in hopes of getting a balcony and view of the piazza. What we got was a view of crappy buildings behind the hotel, no balcony, and dirty carpets. We didn’t even get conditioner in the shower. The TV was tiny, old, and they did not have satellite dish or movies. Room was large but that was about it. Glad we only stayed one night, our other hotel in the area was much better and about half the price.
