I’ll Never Stay Here Again!

Old and worn down place. Room smelled. Workout facility was pitiful. Noisey because I could hear every step the person in the room above me took. Do not stay here.

Too Far From Strip, Very Average Room

Just way to far from Strip. At Emerald, there is no Gaming, Dining and the Staff is at a very minimum. Lower level rooms were not cleaned, so I had to use higher level rooms and there is no elevator on premises. Carrying luggage with physical limitations up stair cases was difficult. The rooms are very average and Suite like.

Try to stay close to the strip if you are a Tourist.

Vegas Visit

A good room with extended stay features such as a refrigerator, small stove, dishwasher and plates cups etc..... A nice feature is that it does come with a 32 inch flat-screen in the living room area and it has a built-in small form factor PC , with mouse and keyboard that you can use to do internet and some basic work though use of its USB features. Nice if you don’t have a laptop with you.

Wonderful Stay

We had two dogs with us so needed to stay in a pet friendly hotel. We were pleasantly suprised to find the hotel as nice as it was. We are non-smokers and were given a smoking room and yet there was no smoke smell at all and we did not even need to request a new non-smoking room! The staff were extremely friendly and efficient. I would definately recommend this hotel to my friends and family. Pool was great and location was close to outlet shopping, eateries and right off the freeway.

Good value for the money

This hotel was, by and large, a decent value. The walls are a bit thin and they forgot to clean my room after my first night, but they made certain it didn’t happen again, and were helpful the two other times I needed them to be. It is what it is, and for the money, you can’t go wrong.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

You can stay at any number of hotels in Las Vegas, at every conceivable price range. Emerald Suites is convenient to both the strip (not walking distance) and to the airport, is reasonably priced, and has a kitchen. It’s a great way to stay in the area and not overspend on room & meals.

Excellent Value For The Price

At first, I thought our stay would be unpleasant because the room A/C was not cooling. A quick phone call to the front desk is all it took. The receptionist sent a repair man within 5 minutes to fix the problem. The rest of the stay was pleasant. The hotel could use newer blinds or even install thick draperies. I woke up as soon as the sun was up because there were no drapes which also explains why the room was not very cold because the blinds allowed the sweltering Vegas heat into the room.

Traveler's tip on shopping

The Las Vegas Shopping Outlet is a few minutes drive away. The Strip is less than 10 minutes drive away.

Poor Service

Overall not a bad place to stay but unless you have a car you are far from "The Strip" I also had to ask many times about the internet which was very important to my trip before someone actually told me I needed a cable which they finally supplied to me to hook direct to my computer. I had told them 3 times when asked how I was accessing the internet I had wi-fi and and all they said was "well it depends on how many people are using the internet on how fast it will be". I finally complained a 4th time and someone said I needed the cable because they didnt have good Wi-Fi. I cant believe they have such poor customer service. Their maids did an OK job of cleaning but unless you put out a do not bother me sign they will wake you early to clean your room.

Bad service...Plus AC did not work...

This is my second time at this hotel. My previous stay was satisfactory. This time, however, I had a horrible experience. It was 110 degrees outside and the AC in our room did not even work. We complained and were sent to a different room but it took at least eight hours for the room to cool down. We stayed for three nights and the maid did not clean our room once. Our room phone did not work so we had to call room service from our cell phones. We were told the maids will be to our room shortly to clean. We left, came back, and the room was still how we left it. Extremely bad service. We had to go to the front office everytime we needed new towels. I would not go back there again...

Good hotel for the price

Wish they would have the A/C going in the rooms prior to arrival if reservation was made. We checked in at midnight in July and outside was 96 degrees but inside the room was 110 degrees and it took 3 hours for the A/C to have any effect.

Great Room for the Price!

Clean, spacious room with comfortable bed. Staff responded quickly when I notified them that the hair dryer in the room didn’t work.

cheap bang for th ebuck

A little disappointed there was no free or continental breakfast. My AC had gone out in the room and it was suggested (after it was working) to leave the cover off by I had a young toddler and he would have wated to play with it. We also had to complain about the upstairs neighbors as it seemed that the kids were jumping all over the floor. My suggestions would be to place younger children and families on the lower floor, for future guests. The price was great but I guess I’m used to staying at more accomadating suites.

Very Basic Room

It’s nothing to brag about and it’s over priced. It has a refrigerator which is a plus. If you don’t want to be next to a casino or anything remotely decent, stay here.

Good price but not good customer service!

ok dont get me wrong i love staying at the EMERALD SUITES,but I usually stay at the ones in Cameron Blvd by THE ORLEANS hotel.However,since this was a last minute trip we(my family) stayed here..! First of all the check in person was confused like he has never worked there before.! Then when he finally gave me my room number he gave a wrong one.It turns out that someone was already staying there.THAT WAS EMBARASSING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The day I was gonna check out I called room service and front desk like 20 times.After 3hours I finally got towels so that I can shower and my family as well.Bad Experience!Never staying at this hotel again!

Not Impressed!!!

When we checked in, everything seemed fine. The room was clean but the shower rod was broke and laying in the tub. The tv in the bedroom wouldn’t turn up either. We turned on the a/c it worked for a few min then quit. Maintence came and got going again, but after 6 hours, the bedroom was still around 90 deg with an outside temp of 118 deg it was hot. They moved us from a 3rd floor room near the office with a view to a second floor 2 bdr with no view. The pool was way way too small for as many rooms they have. The outside jacuzzi was used for a kiddie pool, so that was no good. If all you are going to do is sleep in your room, it is fine, but if you are looking to enjoy features, forget it!!!!!

I stay in a one bedroom king suite. It’s mellow, w/o drama or trouble. Rooms are quite sound proof. Rarely hear the neighbors, & when we’re loud, no complaints. Not much w/in close walking distance for food. A liquor store across the street. Lots of restaurants & shopping w/in 2 miles. Casino & night life is less than 4 miles to Mandalay Bay & the start of the strip. Under a mile to South Point & 3 to Green Valley. It’s lacking in the standard provided ’extended stay amenities’ like pots or pans of any type, dishwasher soap..yet there is an oven, stove & dishwasher, defeating the point of having them if you cant use them! Cable is basic at best w/no menu or guide so you flip through channels aimlessly hoping to get lucky. The free internet is ethernet only, the jack being tucked behind the living room TV. They may provide a short cable(2-5 feet)if you ask nice. I suggest bringing your own.. a long one. By 10 when its finally cool enough to want to soak in the hot tub & or a refreshing evening swim, both are closed. This is seriously obnoxious, probably my biggest gripe. Most the staff is very friendly & helpful. I’m pleased overall, which is why I stay there very often for usually at least a week at a time, monthly. There’s a shuttle to & from LAS airport which is only minutes away. Rental car locations are close as well. Few drawbacks & many positives. Give it a try and tell them I sent you & suggest they reward me accordingly!! ;)

Bring your own ethernet cable, any kitchen items needed to prepare food ie: pots pans etc. If youre looking to experience Vegas as a wild touristy adventure with super convenient proximity to the night life of the strip, get a different place or a rental car and a DD.

A reasonable spot for the price

The bedroom, itself, was a little small for two guys like my friend and I. It worked for us, though, especially considering the fact we only were there really for sleeping, showering, and a little bit of TV watching, basically. I’d stay again, although I normally prefer to be closer to the strip. I like the fact that it’s not far from a selection of restaurants, though.

Great price

This was our second time at the Emerald Suites. Although it is about 10 mins from the strip, it was well worth the price. The room was clean... downside the TV stations are limited. Love the free internet too. Close to the outlets. Great for the family.

excellent price for last minute wknd adventure

Hotel is a suite which has been taken care of. However the strip is a ways off. Closest hotel is the South Point. Lots of long term people live here, outdoor surroundings not too pleasant

Great Kitchen

I would say the kitchen was a great plus for my son and I. It was great to be able to get up in the morning and cook breakfast on the stove. I will say make sure you check the refrigerator temperature. I did not check the refrigerator temperature when I put my grocgery in it. The hotel kept the temperature inside the refrigerator on one which it should of been on three or higher. The milk I bought did spoil and my son did get sick off of the spoil milk. Over all this was not a bad place to stay in Las Vegas. It was just off the stripe and not to far from the stipe.

It’s a neat and clean apartment

I’ve stayed 3 times in a 1 bedroom. Has a flat screen in front room and tv in the bedroom.Free wireless full kitchen good housekeeping. I usually go to vegas for 2-4 weeks and now this is more homey than a strip hotel. You should have a car its out a distance to far to walk to strip area.

The shuttle service was a little difficult to use but it is available. The people at the desk were very helpful.

Highly recommend!!!! A+!!!!

I was a little concerned when we first pulled in but once in the room, or suite as I would call it, it was wonderful. A seperate bedroom and all the amenities of home. It was very comfortable! They even have a shuttle that will take you to and from the airport. I never did check out the pool so I can’t answer to that. I highly recommend Emerald and plan to stay there again.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

If you want to be close to the strip then stay at the other Emerald by The Orleans casino. This Emerald is about 3 miles south of the strip and a cab could get pricy unless you are renting a car.
