Le Grand Lodge Mont-Tremblant

nice hotel, a little far from the village

Le Grand Lodge in Mont Tremblant was a nice hotel with spacious rooms. It had a beautiful main lodge and a lovely dinihg area. I feel it was a bit too far away from the activities of the village and was beyond walking distance. Nice hotel though and a fair price.

Great atmoshpere

Was a great hotel especially for families or a group of friends. Only a short ride away from Mont-Tremblant. Everyone was helpful and spoke english well. Good food.

Clean, adequate, very short drive to all the ski action but not for romantic getaways.

Could hear every move by people in the next room. Rooms are OK: big with a fireplace but bed covers are reminiscent of ancient cheap motels and bathroom and hallway finishes of Wall Mart restrooms. Service is OK but the front desk is not really knowledgeable (or upfront)of the local activities - you need to do extra homework if this is your first time in the area. Other than the concierge, the staff does not speak English. Upon our arrival, no one showed us to our building (they have several on the property), buildings are not marked so we had to spend quite a lot of time in the rain and cold looking for our suite while dragging heavy suitcases up and down the hills - fun times. I would recommend it to a family with kids on a budget. If you are looking for a somewhat upscale experience (forget luxury), look somewhere else.

Tip - if you are staying in a hotel outside the Tremblant resort, take some time to inquire on the location of the free parking lot in the village (close to the clock tower, at the base of the hill). Happy travels!

Can’t wait to go back

We had a wonderful time in this very lovely lodge. The room was comfortable and the suit easily accommodated a family of 4. The only problem we had was noisy neighbors the first night but they left the next morning. The inn is beautiful, the food great, the pool and hot tub a great way to end a day of skiing.

Great stay, beautiful hotel!

Our stay at the Grand Lodge was really pleasant! The room was clean and big, very tidy and comfortable. We had silence to sleep, and peace to stay in. The only drawback is that they didn’t gave us a nice late check out, but they weren’ t obliged to. It would just have been even nicer.

Great spot

A very nice stay. The room was very clean and well appointed. In the summer, the lake view rooms are worth the extra price.

The has a warm welcome in the lobby, great hangout after a day of activities. The restaurant was DEEELISH. My room was nice but could use a couple of things like newer mattresses, bedspread and they need to install a full length mirror.

They have a free shuttle that goes to the base of the mountain runs about every 20 min. Perfect if your not renting a car.

LOVED IT

I would definitely go back to Le Grande Lodge! The hotel looked just like a log cabin and the decorations and everything looked very cozy and warm. The rooms were very clean and spacious and the maids cleaned up the rooms very well every day. Loved it.

Great Stay

Hotel room was very large and had nice amenities. Staff was very pleasant and efficient. Hotel restaurant was pricey but food was excellent.

nice lake hotel, close to tremblant

the main part of the hotel is quite nice, a log chalet with soaring cathedral ceilings. the rooms are located in wings which are more functional with far less character. that said the rooms were nice, not luxury but very clean and comfortable and of decent size. The location is right on the lake, which is not much to look at during the winter but is probably beautiful in the warmer seasons. be aware that this hotel is somewhat isolated ... either a 7 minute shuttle bus ride or a drive to the town of tremblant, certainly not within walking distance, and the shuttle only runs till 5.30 pm so you’ll probably want a car.

This hotel offers everything you need for a winter or a summer vacation: indoor pool, outdoor hot tub, spa, exercise room, ice-skating ring, trail in the woods, fireplace...very convenient transportation to ski slopes (minutes away)

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

The food at the restaurant is delicious but quite expensive; there is a full kitchen in the suite so the best advise is to stop at the supermarket for food shopping before arrival.

Very nice place

Short shuttle ride from skiing at Tremblant. The "log-cabin" lobby and big stone fireplace with roaring fire provided great ambiance for a ski vacation. The condo-in-a-hotel style worked great for us, and we loved the pool. The oven on our stove didn’t work and we had a problem with a window shade, but both problems were fixed immediately when the front desk was notified.

Perfect Log Cabin

This hotel was the perfect place to relax after hitting the slopes the whole day. The hot chocolate with mini marshmallows that is served daily in the lobby is enjoyed by all ages by the fireplace. The rooms are quite spacious and clean. The full kitchen does lack a few things such as small knives and peelers. The hotel thinks of everything. They have a room for your ski/snowboard equipment to keep your boots nice and toasty ready for your next day of excitment on the slopes. The kids will have a great time as well. The hotel creates all kinds of activities for them. Even though the hotel was not in the pedestrian village it was still a great place. The shuttle left the hotel every half hour from to the pedestrian village and it was only five minutes away. When we go back to Mont-Tremblant we will definitely stay at Le Grand Lodge Mont-Tremblant.

Very nice

We stayed at Le Grand Hotel while skiing at Mont Tremblant. It was a bit farther from the slopes than we had expected, but there was no problem with the shuttles. The hotel was extremely comfotable with nice wooden beams, very nice staff, good music in the bar, decent food (we only tried it once and that was in the bar) and very comfortable rooms. We had one suite and one regular room. The next time we would get two suites together just to be closer. It’s probably not worth it to pay for valet parking, but it is nice when they clean the snow off the windshields. We also enjoyed some treatments at the bar and the outside hot tub. (The inside one was a lot bigger, but not very hot.) Hot chocolate and home made cookies after skiing were a real treat!
