Nice and quiet and great views!

This Hotel was very nice and secluded. I was expecting a larger pool although the views from the pool was great and the sunsets very beautiful. Restaurant is expensive, espect to pay $16 for a burger. Dont exchange money in the airport if you dotn have to, the hotel provides a better rate. It cost us $100 for a one way ride to and from the hotel. Its $15 from the hotel to Jaco. Do the Tortuga Island excursion and do check out the private beach. The next time to go, we would rent a car to get around.

Unbelievable

Was amazing! Beautiful views and breathtaking sunsets. The trips were easy to book, I’d recommend if you zipline do the Los Suenos course. Additionally, the food is relatively expensive on site, but a $15 cab ride into jaco is a cheap way to get groceries. Perfect for a honeymoon and any other getaway

Villas Caletas

What a beautiful and romantic hotel! This is a unique and lovely boutique hotel located high in the mountains. This is a great place for couples seeking indulgence and seclusion. The views are spectacular and the sunsets from the Ampitheater and Restaurant are the most beautiful I have ever seen!

Impressive views ....not rooms

The location makes this hotel! I personally would visit the hotel and stay somewhere else. For such a nice hotel I would expect more than a white plastic shower curtain. Hotel staff was less than eager to

Relax in Style

We stayed 2 nights at this nice hotel near the city of Jaco. They were very accomodating and professional. The grounds were beautiful, the service was excellent and the view was stunning. You got a mix of both mountain and ocean. Looks like they are making some improvements to the private beach which should make it nicer. You won’t be disappointed.

A Beautiful Hotel

This hotel is hands down one of the most beautiful places I have been! The staff was friendly, food was great, accommodations and views spectacular! We saw scarlet macaws, iguanas, toucans and coati from our balcony.... amazing!

Phenomenal Stay!

My wife and I went to Hotel Villa Caletas for a 10 year wedding anniversary getaway. We had a fantastic experience with unbelievable service from the hotel staff, excellent dining, and a breath-taking view from our balcony!!!! We would definitely return!

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

The excursion booked from the hotel to Manuel Antonio National Park was well worth the cost of the trip. It included a moderate hike to the top of a mountain with an incredible view of the Pacific Ocean; we also saw monkeys and sloths.

Beautiful Hotel, Very nice and hardworking staff, views are amazing! So much nicer than staying in Jaco (10 minute cab ride), which I would only advise for surfers or party people. Villa Celatas provides a secluded safe and beautiful private oasis. Side note if you hate bugs just stay out of Costa Rica so sick of hearing people complain about that

Loved it

This was the last stop on our trip to Costa Rica and it was the best. The hotel, grounds were beautiful. We saw pairs of red macaws, toucans, hummingbirds, monkeys, and coties. I could go on and on, the food was great, furnishings beautiful, views phenominal, nice beach. I went with my husband but it would also be a treat for families.

villa caletas mountain paradise

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Villa Caletas. The staff was fantastic and the service was excellent. Villa Caletas is set on a beautiful mountain overlooking the Gulf of Nicoya and the Pacific. The villas are comfortable and each one offers a fair amount of privacy. Our villa had a view of the rainforest which sloped down to the beach which is over a mile below. There was a wide variety of wildlife including toucans, parrots, coatis, and scarlet macaws, not to mention the numerous lizards and even poison dart frogs. The villa was much the same as it was in 1992 when I first stayed at the hotel. It was great to meditate in the morning as the clouds came off the ocean and climbed up the mountain towards us. All of the birds were waking up and making their appearances in the trees surrounding the villa. The sunsets were fantastic. The room service meals were delicious and very reasonably priced. The hotel has expanded and offers a variety of larger villas some of which have their own private pools. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are in the Jaco/Herradura area during your trip to Costa Rica.

The hotel has pool with a waterfall and beautiful tropical plants which provides a safe place for the family to gather as the local beaches have strong surf and some riptides along with black volcanic sand.

This hotel is great if you want to unwind in a quiet, relaxing place. Every single one of the staff at the hotel were courteous and professional. My luggage disappeared en route to the hotel and the hotel did everything they could to find it (it did turn up eventually). I can’t thank the the staff enough for their patience and caring. A great hotel in a beautiful country!!!

Not impressed

Great town and ocean view, wonderful garden, big bath and spacius room, to many steps for handicaps or seniors, non smoking room to smelly of humid seams keeping close for to long, no good air filter, only 15 tv channels when I asked for the 80 channels they offer said was just available for Presidencial suits (the more expensive), treated cement bath sink counter top not higenic, .

finest hotel in Costa Rica

Excellent amentities, great staff & food. Only letdown was poor beach. Take the Calypso Cruise to Tortuga, great island.
