GPS took me out in the middle of nowhere and the hotel staff were very kind in assisting me in getting back!

older but nice
The hotel was good for the price. It was clean but you could see its age. Good breakfast but no coffee pot or ironing board in the room. The staff was very nice.

Fine basic accommodation
Although not fancy by any means, this hotel provided clean basic accommodation with a friendly staff. Given its location in Cortland, it would not likely be a resort destination to anyone. It did fulfill its function as a place to stay when visiting nearby Cornell University (or Ithaca College or SUNY Cortland, for that matter). A complimentary continental breakfast was nice. Although again basic, it eliminated the needed to stop by some fast food joint for coffee, OJ, bagel/toast, and cereal and dropping $10-20 in the process.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Everything booked up quickly in Ithaca for Cornells parents weekend. This hotel was a good alternative, but after a few 45-minute drives on two-lane roads through the same farm country I was ready to hit the interstate again.
