Best deal in Sacramento
We were residents of Sacramento for 8 years, had attended a few weddings here, but never had a reason to stay until we were relocating out of town and needed somewhere to stay for a few days. The rates were great, the food was adequate, and the room (though a bit dated) was very nice and a great bargain. I would definitely recommend this place to business travelers and anyone looking for a nice place to sleep -- I dont think you would want to spent a lot of time hanging out at the Vizcaya during the day. We werent there on a weekend, but based on the amount of wedding activity here, I bet its not a great weekend stay unless you are going to a wedding there. To the Inn - I would considered modifying the main house by replacing any non-period decor with decor that better suits the era that the hotel is trying to represent (specifically the geisha picture in the dining room). Also consider losing the lace lined drapes - makes the place feel a bit too confined and old (like dying grandma old). Having no window coverings would open the place up and make it more inviting. We stayed in the carriage house 3 room. No view, but the room was great (bathroom is almost as big as the room!)

Lovely Old Hotel
Viscaya is a lovely B&B in the heart of a pretty residential district - close to downtown (I walked to the Capitol). The room was spacious & sunny. I would definitely stay here again.
