Have to ask the front desk to turn on AC or Heat

It’s a very nice hotel in a nice area. It’s well kept. Unfortunately, their air conditioning and heat system is controlled by the front desk / maintenance. So you have to call them to have either the AC or heat turned on. They turn it off completely during the day. So at night it was hot in the room until I got them to turn on the AC and it had time to work and in the mornings it was cold since the outside temperature had dropped lower and I’d have to call the front desk to turn on the heat and wait for it to start working. I’ve never seen a hotel where guests didn’t have total control of their AC and heat in the room before. I like the hotel and have stayed there before, but the lack of ability to turn on the AC or heat in the room is a HUGE negative. The temperature was uncomfortable one way or the other most of the time I was in the room. The front desk staff didn’t answer the phone multiple times either and I had to go down to the front desk physically to ask them to do something about the AC or heat.

Great Moderately Priced Marina Hotel

I needed a quick simple hotel for an overnight business stay in Marina and the International was perfect. Yes, as reviews indicate, it’s not the newest place around. But it was clean, super friendly staff, and the bungalow was awesome. Definitely spend a few more bucks on a bungalow. Mine was huge, clean, nicely appointed, very functional. It was especially nice to have easy private access from the underground parking - literally one minute from car to door. I would for sure book this hotel again.

was a let down

We had previosly stayed at this hotel and were satisfied. This time it was a different story. The room was never made up until after 3pm. There were no towels at the pool. The towel we did have at the room felt like sandpaper. They were working on the elevator access ramp our entire stay making accessability awkward..ie:having to step over workers each time we needed to get to our room.(this work should have been done at night)The computer internet service is slower than a snail. The television is way to small and has about 6 channels to choose from. They also wanted to charge $15.00 extra a day for a fridge in the room..never mind we used our cooler and ice..so much for making customers comfortable. Even though the hotel has a great location we will find other accomadations on our next trip.
