Perfect for me
I had a room on the first floor back lot, comparing to a lot of the rooms on the front lot, but potentially with more privacy and possibly better security, though the neighborhood seemed nice. The room was spacious but not expansive, comfy but not cramped, well-equipped which was good considering the sparse hotel services, otherwise. The appeal of the room for me was that it was neither too far from the airport (YAM) nor my particular travel destinations in the area.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Very economical and friendly, a family-like staff willing to work with the customer. There’s quite a bit in the neighborhood, but no lounge in the hotel itself. I was advised to stay away from "The Roadhouse" because it has a reputation for being "rowdy."

NOT recommended
This hotel is half-closed and in dilapidated condition. One can look through glas doorways and see collapsed ceilings, torn up carpet, and stored junk. The hallways REEK of water/mildew/cat urine. There was mildew on the shower curtain and stains on the bedspread. There was no wi-fi as advertised. There was a small, slow coffee maker in the breakfast room which guests stood around and waited for. I’m afraid this place is beyond saving.
