Nice hotel in a dicey neighborhood
A group of us had been in Italy for 14 days, the last in a lovely villa in Orvieto. When we needed a hotel for our last night it had to be reasonably priced and close to the airport. I selected this from an Expedia pick and was pleased at the price and distance to the airport. The rooms were all mini suites, large and comfortable and fully air conditioned. The hotel and our rooms were nicely appointed but not new by any means, but it fit the bill. However, the area is dicey. There was a local "bar", which in Italy is a cafeteria type place to get a quick bite. The food was surprisingly good. At the recommendation of the hotel staff, we had our last dinner at a restaurant just a few miles away and it was lovely. I would not recommend the hotel for a long stay, but if you are in-transit and need a layover, it is an easy drive to the airport. I would say that you do need a car with GPS.

To far away of the center
Becuase this hotel is too far away, you need to take one bus, a train and the metro to reach the center of Romme. The reception didnt give me the right directions and I walked the entire avenue to try to find a bus. After 11 p.m., I lost the last train and I tried to call the hotel to help me to take a taxi and they said that they dont request taxis. As a client I was very frustrated. I luckly found a taxi passing by and I could come back to the hotel.
