excellent value, great location
I was not expecting much for the price, but it was much better than expected. I was able to walk all around downtown Raleigh. There are some people sleeping under the trees in back, between the hotel and the freeway, but they did not come near the hotel entrance.(saw them from my window) I’m staying at this hotel again next week.

You get what you pay for.
There was something suspicious and gross on the wall in the bathroom next to the TP. I had to mentally ignore it everytime I was in the room. The room was okay, but I had the overwhelming feeling it was not clean.

Nice, inexpensive stay
The staff at this hotel are very pleasant. The rooms are tiny, but clean. The hotel is a short walk from a number of really great bars/restaurants, which definitely adds to the attractions! The continental breakfast is nice to wake up to...
Traveler's tip on nightlife
The 42nd Street Oyster Bar is only a five minute walk from downtown. They have a live band and amazing oysters. It is set up like an old fashioned diner, and the atmosphere is fun!!! Highly recommend stopping by here on the way back to the hotel!
