Good Hotel, Good Location
The hotel is good in general. The location is perfect on the river and close to many cafes and good resturants. The staff at the reception were very helpful. However, the room (double) was quite different from the one displayed in the website. Also there is no fridge in the room.

Not impressed
If you are looking for a hotel with a good location the Hotel Stein will work - if you are looking for a good nights sleep after touring cross this one off of your list. The noise from the street, traffic and young adults will ensure a sleepness nite! The beds were comfortable however a mysterious rash appeared similar to that of bed bug bites! The front desk was unable to assist with questions regarding landmarks, delivered our wake-up call 1hr. late which resulted in missing a tour that was paid in full and non-refundable amounting to $120.00! More importantly it was a tour that had been filled and one that was on our list of things to see in Salzburg! The hotel manager had not much to offer other than a free cab ride!

Fantastic Location
My husband and I were very thrilled with the location of the hotel. All the main sights are within walking distance. The staff was very friendly/helpful, the rooftop bar was very picturesque, and the rooms were very comfortable. We can’t wait to go back!
