Scruffy, but charming...
Clearly, at one time this hotel was the cat’s meow, but it could use a good remodel. That said, the rates more than made up for the stained hallway carpets. My room had newer carpet and was clean & comfortable. I would happily overlook a few worn fixtures in exchange for a great rate. Free parking and great location ensure that I will stay here whenever I have to stop overnight in Los Angeles. And all the staff were friendly and helpful.

Good location and nice staff
We were not familiar with the location so it helped quite a lot to drive around LA. Hotel staff were quite helpfull to explain the activities around and also booked couple of city tours for us. But remember the Hotel is in Santa Monika and it is a bit far from city center and Hollywood.
