Great place to stay
This hotel was a great value. It is located close to the Eiffel Tower and the Seine river. We felt safe walking home at night in the neighborhood. The closest Metro stop to the hotel is under construction and therefore closed, but the metro stops are so close together that we really didnt have to walk much further. The only bad thing is there is construction going on next door to the hotel and they start working very early in the morning, so dont plan on sleeping in. I would stay here again if we come back.

Good value for the money
Great location - very close to the Eifel tower and 2 subways. Small, but clean room. Friendly staff.

Looking forward to going back!
I selected the hotel due to the proximity to the Eiffel Tower and was delighted by the choice and its location. Even though the hotel is a bit off the main drag, it is close to the metro and main street with dining, grocery store, souvenir shops and ATM machines. The bathroom is a bit tight by the toilet (no room for your knees)and only has a shower stall, but if you only need a place to crash at night, this is the perfect place. I will definitely return to this hotel next time I am in Paris!
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
When traveling in Europe, be prepared for small rooms, bathrooms and using a hand held hose to shower. There may be a wall shower hose attachment, but its not the same as what we are used to using in the US.

Great Location with Adequate Lodgings for Cheap!
How much time will you be in your hotel room in Paris? For me the answer was not much, so I looked for a bare bones place with a great location. Campanile Paris Tour Eifel meet this goal and even surpassed it in many ways. The hotel staff was fluent in English and very friendly. The rooms were small, but clean, with great hot water in the bathrooms and cute extras like biscuits and coffee. The location was fabulous: an easy walk from the Eiffel tower, 2 blocks from a Metro station and 1 block from a grocery store. If you are looking for a world-class hotel, this is not it... But if you are looking for a nice place to rest your aching feet after a long Parisian day definately consider this one.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Ask for directions to the grocery store. It is only a block away and there a few Euros will get your some easy and inexpensive breakfasts (or lunches, or dinners). Eating in Paris is expensive, so why not save where you can?

Good Location
You can see the metro from your hotel. Small but comfortable. The room smeeled like smocking even through your not allowed to smoke. Two landry places around the corner. Felt safe comming back to room at night. I think this place might be too hot in the summer because no AC. We were comfortable in May 2009. Would go back because we walked to the Eifel Tower every morning.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
There is customer service at the two metro stops near the hotel. They will help you purchase your tickets.

great little place. Nice location
The room was not as small as I thought it would be due to other reviews. It was quite comfy and just what we paid for. We did not try the breakfast as we did not eat breakfast at all. We saved our appetites for lunch at the restaurants down the block. We shopped at the supermarket a lot. The shower does have a funny control in it that you hit when you are in the shower and it can be hot or cold if you hit it, it is very small and hard to avoid bumping it.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Go to the supermarket and get some cheese and bread to take to your room and maybe some snacks so you can graze if you are hungry in the late night. Bring a cloth shopping bag with you, everyone does.

Not Impressed at all
Staff service was awful, I had a message given to me 6 hours after it was left and when I asked why they said they forgot. The room was very small and shower was very very very small.

Nice hotel, nicely situated
I was a bit worried on reading other peoples reviews that the room would be too small, but it seemed normal to me for a European hotel room. I had a corner room, but on the map the other rooms looked similar.

Nice hotel for sleeping
My fiance and I stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel was nice, not very big but all we cared about was that there was a comfy warm bed to sleep in. Its a nice distance from the Eiffel Tower, only about a 6-7 minute walk. The only problem we really had was the shower was very small, which wasnt that bad but, the shower head was broken and only went up to about 5 feet and 3 inches, my fiance is 6ft4 so it was our only main complaint. Also sitting on the toilet could be a problem if you way more than 200lbs as there is only about a foot between it and the wall. Ohter than the bathroom, the hotel was lovely.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
There were a lot of nice places around this hotel. We found a crepe stand that you could order take away from, they were delicious. There was also a nice supermarket up the street. The best thing we did while we were in Paris was the hop on hop off bus tour which starts at the Eiffel Tower.

Best budget hotel Ive stayed in
Got a ridiculously low rate through Expedia, spent 5 days here. Eiffel Tower is quite walkable, as are two metro stops. Front desk staff speaks English, and were very helpful.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Big grocery store across the street from one of the metro stops

LOCATION...LOCATION...LOCATION...BUT
THE LOCATION WAS GREAT...2 BLOCKS AND PLEASANT WALK TO EIFFEL TOWER, SEINE RIVER CRUISES AND TROCADERO AREA! BUT...HOTEL IS CONSIDERED "HISTORIC" AND IT IS OLD. THE ROOM WAS REALLY, REALLY, REALLY TINY. I SINCERELY LAUGHED WHEN I OPENED THE DOOR! BUT THE BED WAS VERY COMFORTABLE...AND WHO STAYS IN THEIR HOTEL ANYWAY? BLONDE BEHIND COUNTER SORT OF NASTY BUT REST OF HOTEL STAFF VERY PLEASANT AND HELPFUL. ELEVATOR WAS SOMETHING FROM A "CLARK GABLE MOVIE!" ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN. LOCATION MAKES UP "BIGTIME" FOR THE HOTELS SHORTCOMINGS!
Traveler's tip on nightlife
PLEASE BEWARE WALKING FROM EIFFEL TOWER TO THE HOTEL. THE AREA IS NICE BUT THERE ARE SOME UNSAVORY PICK-POCKETS IN THE AREA. I TRAVELED ALONE BUT WOULD SINCERELY RECOMMEND WALKING IN PAIRS AFTER 11:00 P.M.

Moldy Bathroom - but close to tower
Like other reviewers said, the room is really small. The bathroom was especially small (had to sit sideways on the toilet!). My only real complaint was that the bathroom had a lot of mold growing on the walls. One morning we watched the sunrise over the tower - beautiful!
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Be sure to know how to get to the hotel from the Metro - it can be confusing.

Our first trip to Paris, great experience
I picked this hotel on two criteria, one that it was close to the Eiffel tower, and two, the written comments from other travelers. The room was VERY small, but it was nice and clean. The staff during the day spoke very good English, and were quite helpful. The neighborhood was very quiet at night, not a very "lively, touristy" area. The metro was a short walk away. I would definately stay there again, it was a good value for the money, clean and safe area. It was great walking out of the hotels front door, and looking up to see the Eiffel tower!
Traveler's tip
Great bakery right around the corner! It is much cheaper to pick something there than eat at the hotel for breakfast! Also, I went on Craigs list and found a personal tour guide, an American woman who now lives in Paris, and she showed up all around Paris for 8 hours, and it was much more personal and helpful than a tourist group guided tour. I think I paid her 120 euros for the whole day!

Close to Eiffel
Best point about the hotel is that this hotel is close to Eiffel and you can walk back from the tower. I could spend all day sightseeing and finished the day with watching the lighted Eiffel in the midnight!

Clean, but would not recommend for a romantic stay...
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon and while it was clean, it is not a romantic place. The beds are extremely small and it is hard enough for one person to fit in the shower. I would recommend for a quick business trip or for a single person.

Decent - but very small rooms
This is a reasonable hotel to stay in. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is a three minute to the nearest metro, and about a ten minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. However, the rooms are very small, and the bathrooms are even smaller ... I had trouble fitting into the shower.

Exactly What We Were Looking For!
The location was great. The hotel is in more of a residential neighborhood which is more relaxed than some of the more touristy areas. This was our first trip to Paris, so we planned on visiting a lot of museums and tourist attractions, but didnt want the entire trip to be only tourist attractions. Metro stop was nearby. We felt very safe. The hotel staff was helpful. Our room was kept very clean and we had our own bathroom which is all we cared about. We had a corner room (might have been a little bigger than other rooms). The hotel did not have a computer, but that was not a huge problem (you can bring your own). We would definitely stay there again.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Use the metro (even from the airport)! If its your first trip and plan to visit many museums during peak season, buy a 4 day museum pass--you skip the long lines (you can buy it at the airport). Even if you dont speak French, try to learn a little to at least exchange a few pleasantries. The attempt seems to be well-appreciated.

Good value
This hotel is part of a large chain of mostly French hotels and everything was well organized and professional. Everyone at the desk spoke English. Location is close to Eiffel Tower and Metro lines 6 and 10, as well as RER line C. Pharmacies, grocery stores and restaurants close by. Daily maid service, plenty of hot water and towels. Thin walls, but for the price, an excellent value.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Walk south on rue St. Charles to rue Linois, turn right and walk about a block west and you will find a large Monoprix, which is similar to an American supermarket. Opposite on Linois is a post office.

Nice place to stay.
The staff was very nice and helpfull. One of the staff members took the time to look directions up on the internet for me.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
The best way to save a few dollars is to go to a grocery store and buy your food. It is much cheaper, though less exciting, and will work wonders on your pocket book.
