Charming stay

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is geared primarily as a ski lodge though we stayed during leaf peeper season. Only worry was lack of signage on drive into area entrance. There are multiple "Jiminy Peak" lodgings. Otherwise, had a quaint time.

Traveler's tip on dining

The tavern on the property was out of this world. We ate there twice!

Jiminy Peak OK

Staff was attentive and resort practiced "green". Downside for us was we couldn’t be reached by cell phone (T Mobile) which was necessary because of medical reasons. Suite was more comfortable than motel room and was less expensive.

Not Impressed

Good value compared with other options in area, but hall and rooms smelled like a ski lodge-- slightly mildewy and an overriding odor of wet boots!. Alos the air conditioning unit rattled all night. A little maintanence would be in order. Facilities great.

Very quiet and relaxing place to get away!

Stayed here for the weekend and had a great time. Room included a full kitchen, living room, and separated bedroom. Had trouble with stovetop burner- getting it to heat while cooking. Also there were very few ice machines and I had to go up to the restaurant to fill the cooler. The interior was kind of a maze to get back to your room from the lobby; but overall, I would recommend this hotel and stay there again!

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

All the rides are a 50 foot walk out of the back of the hotel- chairlift, trampolines, swimming pool, etc. Very convenient layout!

Night on the Mountain

We reserved a two rooom/one bedroom suite and were plesently surprised. The room was large and comfortable (and very clean). Little extras like an extra sink/vanity outside the bathroom gave us extra room and privacy. The staff were all very nice, helpful and knowledgeable (gave good recommendations). Would definitely stay there again and would recommend for anyone traveling to the Berkshires!

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

When staying on the mountain, visit Jiminy Peak’s summer park activities in your backyard - good for ALL ages! And you can’t pass up a zip line tour at Zoar, MA. It’s about an hour drive from Jiminy Peak, but well worth it!

Great location!

Hotel is in a great location. It’s nice to have the Mountain Adventure Park right out the door on the property. Restaurant staff were very friendly. Great food at a great price. The Hotel is a maze to find your room. We got lost trying to find our room every time. There are lots of stairs and turns. The room itself is large. It was nice to have a complete kitchen with a mini-fridge, sink, coffee maker, dishwasher, 2-top stove, etc..The room is very dated with paper thin walls and ceilings. The bathtub never drained. Despite the minor complaints about the room, we would stay here again.

Traveler's tip on dining

The muffins at the deli store near the entrance of the resort are freshly made and delicious. Worth the stop!

Very nice place

Country Inn suite was very nice and clean. Kitchen has pretty much all the essentials to cook or store your own food. Staff was very helpful. Adventure park was right at the resort, rest of the major attractions are atleast 10 to 15 miles away. Overall, enjoyed our stay!

We appreciated the green efforts

We took the ski lift to the top and walked to the windmill. It was beautiful and I was happy to hear how much energy it provides for Jiminy Peak and the area. We also appreciated other green efforts like disposable cups made from biodegradable corn products. I prefer to frequent companies that are environmentally conscious.

Traveler's tip on dining

We enjoyed John Harvard’s restaurant on the property.

Jiminy Peak with two fourteen year old boys

This was the perfect place for memeorial day weekend with two fourteen year old boys! They had a ball at the outdoor park and we could see them froom pool side seats! The one bedroom suite was the perfect size for the four of us. The boys slept in the pull out queen sized bed (with pillows down the center, heaven forbid they touch each other!) and the bedroom had a very nice king sized bed. The kitchenette area was great for two constantly eating, growing boys. Would go again in a heart beat

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

We took snacks, sandwich stuff and cereal. We only ate out for dinner, but you don’t even have to do that. You can cook dinner right in the room!

for the orthodox jewish traveler

in addition to being a very nice place with winter/summer attractions on site, added bonuses for orthodox jewish travelers include: *kitchen facilities (note unfortunately the stove is electric) but you do have a fridge and microwave *in season the hotel at times has minyanim on grounds (inquire at the helpful front desk) *chabad is nearby also with minyanim at times *major shopping with access to kosher foods (not meat) is within 15 minutes

Traveler's tip on local attractions

*on the way up, both the Shaker Village the Norman Rockwell Art Museum are "kosher" attractions

Beautiful surroundings

The hotel is located in a beautiful area and has activities kids enjoy. Having a suite makes the stay very comfortable with enough room to enjoy spending time in it. The kitchenette was great and had all you need including a dishwasher. Maid service was excellent. We ate one meal in the hotel restaurant, the breakfast buffet, which I thought was over priced for what you got. The quality of the food was acceptable, the variety lacking.

Traveler's tip on shopping

The store which is located just across the parking lot had great choices and was priced fairly. They have a good choice of wines and prepared food ready to heat in the microwave or oven. Stop by the fruit and vegetable stands in the area for some beautiful local products.

As with a previous visit we were well satisfied.!

The hotel is clean and well maintaned with a friendly helpful staff. Our room did have a refrigerator and microwave. There is an excellant restaurant on site. A new activety available at the resort this year is geo-caching.
