Relaxing place to vacation
We experienced construction going on in Nov. 09. The management moved us to a quieter room as soon as they could. A few other minor issues that they took care of promptly. We were visiting during the slow season, so didnt have a complete selection of restaurants, but food was good none the less. Beautiful property and gardens with good walking paths. Wonderful pools, nice and warm and clean! Staff was very friendly and made sure we were pleased with everything. Not much beach - and the water was cloudy and rough, but a beautiful sandy area with shade huts for sunning. Overall a great stay and good value.

Initial impression was mediogre, but within hours realized it was a lovely, Mexican hotel. l
If you are looking for a fancy, American hotel you may be dissappointed. The grounds were absolutely beautiful, the rooms were spacious and nicely decorated in Mexican decor. The restaurants were good, meals were repeditive after one week, so you do get tired of the choices. The service was 5 star. The beach, pool area were beautiful. I would go there again.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Zxcarat is expensive, but worth every penny. It is a full day, lots to see, and lots of areas to relax , depending on what you want. Our best buffet of our 2 weeks was there. If you add up the cost of snorkelling, buffet, ruins, transportation, drinks, towels, snacks, evening 2 hour performance, the cost os reasonable.
