Hotel nightmare!
I did not have a good experience on my 2-day stay at this hotel.Do not let the name "Marriot" fool you. The Courtyard in Daytona Beach (speedway) is a downgrade. My room was supposed to be a "quality" room with a King size bed and sofa, a little better than a "standard"room which it was not. This was the smallest hotel room I have stayed at in over 20 years. I could not believe in this day and time there was no microwave or refrigerator in the room. The front desk said there was a microwave in the lobby on the first floor for all to use (LOL). They did wheel me in a refrigerator. The closet was so small we could not get both suitcases in it. We had to leave one by the front door the only area with a little extra space to squeeze by on your way to the bathroom. The sink area and night stands were the smallest I have ever seen in a hotel. The room was cleaned and a small bit of toilet paper was left on the roll with no other roll left. It was not cool to come back at 11:00 at night, use the bathroom in the morning and find that you don’t have enough toilet paper or tissue to do your business, and then call the front desk for toilet paper and wait for it to be delivered only to have a box of tissue delivered and the wait starts over after another call to the front desk. All this before going for breakfast. This was not a good way to start the day.

Can’t wait to go back
Hotel was great. Had one little problem - the fire alarm went off due to equipment malfunction. Hotel made up for it with free breakfast, so we were pleased. The inconvenience was not that great. Overall, very pleasant stay.

only there one day
Although we only spent one rainy day at this hotel, we found it to be comfortable and in agood location. The service was excellent and the facilities available were more than we expected.
