93 degrees F - no AC
Wow, that was uncomfortable! I actually stood in the reception area and asked the person at the desk whether the reception area was, in fact, the only part of hotel that was air conditioned. He confirmed that to be the fact. Aix was wonderful. But on one of the hottest days of the year it would have been nice to come home to a comfortable room. This room had a nice little kitchenette, but as we were only staying the night, we didn’t take advantage of. It was a very basic you-get-what-you-pay-for experience. It was convenient to the town center, but because of the heat, I wish I had budgeted a little higher for the night in Aix.

Basic but comfortable
The hotel is fairly near the city center, about a seven minute walk from the Cours Mirabeau. My room was a bit spartan and charmless, but it was clean and perfectly adequate for the price. The kitchenette was very well stocked and would have been great for someone intending to cook meals in the room. The only caveat is that there was no air conditioning in my room, which was on the top floor, and got rather warm, though at night it cooled down for the most part. A good hotel for budget travelers, overall.

Acceptable for family stay in Aix
Parking space very convenient and spacious,central location, easily found by car, would benefit from a pool as Aix-en-Provence is quite warm in the summer, uncomfortable trundle bed
