Beautiful resort--IF YOU SPEAK FRENCH
A lush resort, well-spaced buildings, good restaurants (some buffet style) and a pretty complete shop ("superette"). Big pool, bar, nice beaches on both sides of the resort; boats and scuba diving (extra) on site. Mostly French guests--staff speaks mostly French. "kitchenettes" are quite good--incl. small dishwasher, all on the balconies/terraces (one per appt.)
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Martinique is great to explore--very safe and very friendly people. a (rental) car is a must! Best to come prepared with material on the island--not much available in English!

Excellent Family Resort!
My Wife and I and our two sons (7 and 10) just got back from Martinique and "Pierre & Vacances". The island, the people, and this hotel were all excellent! The hotel has a great Pizza Cafe, a large buffett style restaurant, and a 3rd restaurant closer to the water. All were very good. We also liked the store that had a little of everything. The family and kids activities were a lot of fun, and we put the boys in the kids club two different mornings. Our 10 year old got to try a little SCUBA in the pool, and our younger son enjoyed the club so much that he insisted on staying longer. Be sure to rent a car, the island is lovely. In addition to Saint Luce, be sure to visit St. Anne to watch the sunset over Diamond Rock. Also, we really liked the North West side of the island from Fort-De-France to St. Pierre (destroyed in 1902, but rebuilt soon after). Finally, we are from the USA, but love the French and Europeon lifestyle!

French only
The hotel is 99,99% occupied by French. We as German without good language knowledge of French were not very well accepted. The hotel says they speak German and English at the reception - but I dont know if these once have been on vacation during our stay. All other information in written form is also in French only. The service at all is very low and they dont try to help if you dont speak French. Most of the staff is not able to understand English or any other language. The hotel is closed to the beach and has a nice pool area, but that is all we could find a positive during the stay.
