Beautiful place!
this was a great place to stay. It was actually a condo. It was huge and very nice with a great view of Sabino canyon. I will be back often

Appartment near Sabino Canyon
The hotel was actually an appartment with two bedrooms/two baths/living room internet in a condominium complex at the edge of Tucson. It was less than two hotel rooms would have been and extremely practical because we could cook our own food - another money saver. There was a pool/hot tub and a gym on the grounds. The only slight draw back: There was no internet (unless you could all the users without security...). Since it is not a hotel, there is no daily cleaning (unless you request and pay for it). If light bulbs break it’s easiest to fix it yourself. It is NOT in walking distance to downtown Tucson. But there are several stores and nice restaurants that are only a short drive (10-20 min) away.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
The appartment is very close to Sabino Canyon (my son jogged there in about 10 Minutes). The sunset view from the canyon over Tucson is great. Saguaro National Park east and west are about 30 Minutes and 1 hour away, respectively. Hiking in all these three places is great! Driving is fairly staightforward and the roads labelled well but there is a lot of traffic in Tucson.
