Excellent location for seeing Ferrara
The hotel Carlton is especially well located in the old city area of Ferrara. Everything is very close and quite walkable. The hotel was business-like, very friendly at the desk, helpful with directions. Breakfast was okay. The place was clean and comfortable and only a short taxi ride from the train station.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Make sure to see the Duomo in Ferrara as well as the Este palace. Both are well worth the trip.

Convenient and Comfortable
The hotel is located less than a five-minute walk to the castello and cathedral. The single rooms are small but comfortable. The service was very good. The breakfast buffet is outstanding.

The hotel has worked out deals for fixed price or discounted dinners at nearby restaurants. The close-by Buca di San Domenico is recommended for its pizza.
