Great view from top floor
Hotel Reginella can be reached by shuttle bus at top of hill when arriving in Positano. We stayed on the top floor which had four twin beds. It had an outside balcony with a gorgeous view of Positano, the Duomo, and the beach area. Room was pretty basic with no carpets or phone,a small tv hung from the ceiling, but bathroom was large and clean. Continental breakfast served ’til 11:00 was fine, and hotel staff was friendly. To get down to the beach, shops, and restaurants, there was easy access by taking the steps in front of hotel.
Traveler's tip
Chez Black and Max’s are two good restaurants in the beach area. You can order take-out lunch at the Snack Bar Restaurant to bring onto the beach. Pizza and Gelati are delicious! We stayed on the free beach and bought towels to use for our 2 day stay. When leaving Positano,the shuttle bus that takes everyone back up the hill from the beach area gets really crowded so allow enough time to catch the bus back to Sorrento!
