Don’t stay here
I’m not one to say bad things about a place BUT this hotel was horrible. My husband and I actually ended up driving home at 5 am after we couldn’t sleep all night. The staff didn’t really care when I went to them in my pj’s and told them I couldn ’t sleep because the bed was so hard and the room wasn’t warming up. When I spoke with the manager a few days later he said he’s NEVER had any complaints, which I totally can’t believe, there are even complaints on this web-site. He basically called me a liar and then returned half my money as "good faith". HORRIBLE! From now on I will read every review before I stay somewhere and I hope my review helps you! STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Anniversary trip to Santa Fe
My wife and I stayed here on a Saturday night for out 27th anniversary. I feel some of the nearby hotels are drastically over-priced, which I have heard is the norm for Santa Fe. In comparison Garrett’s Desert Inn is an exceptional value. If you want posh stay at one of the over-priced places. If you want a clean, comfortable room stay at Garrett’s. We felt safe there and will definitely stay here on any subsequent trips to Santa Fe.

Can’t beat the price
Only a block off the plaza and the price is right. Motel is clean and comfortable, just not as fancy as others closer to the plaza. We have stayed here on many occasions and will go back. Parking is reasonable as well, but you really don’t need a car because of the proximity to Santa Fe sites. Take a shuttle from ABQ Sunport right to your door for $25/person.
