nice people, old hotel
besides the toilet running all night, and the fact there is no heaters in any of the rooms the bed was nice, old shower that was recently retiled, nice little breakfast included with room. great large flat screen TV but not to many channels.

watch your street parking around this hotel it is real easy to get parking tickets.

OK for value & location, not so OK for comfort
This place is at an excellent location and the price compared to others nearby is really good. The bed was very comfortable but the room itself was not. There are few outlets and no coffee pot. There’s a plug-in heater which worked well but seemed odd. The room was uncomforable because although there is a vanity, there’s noplace to plug in a hairdryer there. Like other reviews have said, it is a very noisy place, too. I’d recommend it for people because of value and location if you can live with the rest. Definitely not for honeymooners or people on a once in a lifetime vacation. It is a basic motel.

nice location, bad everything else
great location, right across from the beach. but carpet was real dirty, closet was kinda scary, shower dripped loudly, on and off high pitched sound coming from another room, heard every time the toilet flushed upstairs, creaky swing right outside our room, and all the front desk workers were not older than 17!

this hotel is within walking distance to the actual state street, but if you want to go to the downtown section of state street...DRIVE! walk to the beach instead if you feel like walking
