Relaxing, Good Food, Nice Folks, but could use an update
It was relaing, the food was good, the folks were nice, but the rooms could use an update. The beds and furniture seemed newish but the rugs were in need of replacing or at least washing. There were several places in the bathrooms that needed a paint touch up. The toilets were fine but the seats were cheap. If youre going to spend money on a good toilet, dont settle for the 1.00 seat that comes with it. My room was nice and roomy but for the same money, my traveling partners got a much smaller room. Definitely ask for rooms that face the street - otherwise youre overlooking the pool, parking lot, or alley. The breakfasts were very good. The staff was very helpful. The free wine tastings fun. All in all not really worth the money the hotel would charge you. At least it was much cheaper through Expedia than it would have been through the hotel directly.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Definitely go to Matties for a meal. Had wonderful pork and salmon there. The surrounding area is worth many lazy drives and walks - beautiful.

Nice Location/OK room
We arrived right after July 4th, so hotel was nearly empty after the holidays. Location is great for walking around the small main street. Room was comfortable. Restaurant bartender was curt and slow to serve. OK place, only hotel in town I think. Nothing to write home about, however, and a bit pricey.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Booking rooms through online travel looked to be much less expensive than through the hotels website.

Nice hotel, did not like Restaurant
The hotel is comfortable and pleasant in most of the rooms (we had to change rooms because at first they put us in the annexe across the road which was inconvenient, upstairs and a small room). We did not like the Greek restaurant where they provide breakfast. It doesnt suit the surroundings and promotes Greek wine instead of the local Santa Barbara wineries.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Make sure your room is in the main building.
