Nice hotel, but noise level from outside is unacceptable.
This hotel is located on a public square and has two or three outside bars right across the street. The noise from the revelers was extremely high. We tried changing rooms but there is no escaping the noise. There was too much light in the room as well, so combined with the noise, sleeping was almost impossible. Too bad, because it’s a charming little hotel with a nice family.
If you are a light sleeper, this hotel is not recommended! The location to the lake and to the small town attractions is good, however.

Great location.
I’d definitely stay here again. The staff were friendly and the hotel charming, although nothing flash.

Awesome service and location!
Hotel Primavera was located one block off the waterfront on a cute side street lined with restaurants and shops. We had a balcony that overlooked the street and it was fun to people watch in the evening. The hotel staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful, obtaining boat tickets for us and giving us advice about the local activities. We will definitely stay there again when we visit beautiful Stresa!!!
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Definitely take the time to do the Malpensa Express trip up to Locarno, Switzerland!! The train ride up is amazing and the boat ride back to Stresa was so relaxing and beautiful.
