Great time
You can get great views of the falls from this hotel or you can get ok views. I reserved a falls view room. When we got to our room we could see the horseshoe falls, IF we looked out our window at a 45 degree angle to the left. Our room basically faced up-river and the view of the falls was not spectacular. I asked the front desk for a view from around the corner which basically gives you a view of downtown, the American falls and the horseshoe falls. It cost me an extra $25/night but the view was pretty spectacular. The hotel was very clean, the free breakfast was pretty darn good (they use The Keg restaurant for seating and service), the elevators were never a problem (we were on the top floor), but the managers reception was hardly worth attending...very crowded, snack selection pretty poor, and you get a ticket for your one free drink. Wed heard quite a few good things about The Keg restaurant but on Saturday night it had a 2 hr wait at 7:30pm and still a 30 minute wait at 10pm, so we skipped. There are quite a few chain restaurants in walking distance, and a few local joints. Theres a Brazilian-style barbecue across the street... we tried it and it was pretty good, but it seemed that the other Brazilian barbecue up the street a couple blocks was busier. A day should definitely be put aside for the wine tours and Niagara on the Lake.

Great Hotel except for the parking fee
Couldnt have asked for a nicer hotel but beware - you must pay at least $20.00 a day to park your car. It will be located at an off-site location.

Best View
If you want the best view, get a room above level 20 and with a jacuzzi tub if you can. The view was spectacular. Our trip was for our anniversary and we couldnt have asked for better accommodations. On the couple of rainy/dreary mornings we could simply see the falls from our room.
Traveler's tip on dining
Other reviews I read prior to our trip pointed out that the food near the hotel was expensive - it was. However, we traveled out into the countryside of Ontario and it was our impression that Canadas dining was typically double the comparable meal in the US.
