i might go back

first i was not told that i would be charged double for service render than i was not allow to use the jacuzzie only if i get a meassage which cost,also i had to pay to use the hotel van to go to the post office and bank and when i used a taxi for the same run another time it was cheaper also i booked a tour for the elephant, the ox,jeep safari, thai cooking and casnnoe well the elephant ride was abouit 7mins the ox ride was about 5mins i never got the jeep safari ride the only ride i got wa though the city streets i did not get any thai cooking they just put a few veg, in a bowl the cannoe was horrible and they wanted me to leave my hand bagwith them in a lock box for which they had the key the van picked me up from the hotel but i had to have a very unssafe ride thought the city street in an open jeep up and down hill on the road where the diver drove very fast th jeep had no protection it was very unsafe i did not spend my money to be treated like that i told the person who booked the tour he said he had lots of complaints so i asked than why did you waste my money an my life he never answerd me i just walked away very unhappy

Nice enough, but...

The hotel is pretty isolated which does not present a problem for me but may for you. It is quiet and secure, with patrolling security guards. The restaurant is the area most needing work. If your breakfast is included, it is ok. If you pay, you pay a lot for what you get, even in western terms. Good restaurants require a cab to get to. The hotel restaurant for dinner is only ok, and to me the choices were limited. The new manager said he is working on solving some of the issues. While we were there, he invited us to try his new dinner buffet. It was much better, and may provide a safe if unexciting alternative. The room itself was adequate. We had a seaview room, which indeed was overlooking the sea as well as the pool. Plenty of hot water, with a bidet, which my wife liked. The bed was absolutely a torture device. It is a typical Thai bed...more like a board with a sheet on it. If you like hard beds, you will love it. This is my biggest complaint about the hotel. When I asked the staff, they said they did not provide western style beds. Even a feather bed would have helped. All in all, it was ok. Would I stay there again? I doubt it. I would try some of the other places all around the island. If you are not picky, like hard beds and enjoy peace and quiet, this may be a place for you though.

Hotel restaurant ok for dinner. Indian restaurant across the street from the hotel should be avoided at all costs. Bad hygiene, expensive and not good.

Not a good hotel, overall

Very bad service, hotel staff is not professional. Rooms are smelly and damp. There is no sea view in side-sea-view room, so don’t waste your money.
