GOOD PLACE TO STAY FOR THE PRICE

MY WIFE AND I ENJOYED OUR STAY AND WILL BE RETURNING SOON FOR ANOTHER RELAXING WEEKEND AT THE RESORT...STAFF WAS VERY NICE AND THE ROOM WAS JUST AS WE ORDERED.....THANKS AGAIN FOR A GREAT WEEKEND....MICHAEL/GRACIE

Needs Work

Overall I was satisified with the location of the room. I reserved an oceanfront room for the view. Unfortunately, we couldnt enjoy it. The ceiling above the outside balcony was leaking something so bad we couldnt sit out there. It was too late to change rooms too. The bathroom was lacking amenities. There was no shampoo, conditioner or soap. We wanted a no smoking room but you could tell there was a faint odor of cigarette smoke still lingering.

Would stay again

We did a spur of the moment trip to Myrtle Beach and booked the Ocean Reef because of other reviews. We had reserved a one bedroom and were upgraded to a two bedroom. Plenty of space, large flat panel tv, and a very pleasant stay. The only downside to Ocean Reef at all is the parking is across the street.

The hotel was very nice. The staff were extremely helpful in recommending places to eat and visit. Loved the lazy river and the kiddie pool area is really neat. The hotel bartender was great. The breakfast buffet is very good. We will definitely be staying there again

Enjoyable stay

Our stay at the Ocean Reef resort was very enjoyable. The hotel was very clean and comfortable with an excellent friendly staff. The pools/lazy river were clean, nice breakfast buffet availabe that wasn’t overpriced, elevators were fast and efficient, the rooms were clean with a great view of the ocean and the hotel location was very convenient and not too overcrowded. Would definitely go and stay again.

Hotel is in a good location between Broadway at the Beach and Barefoot Landing.

Great Stay!

Our stay at the Ocean Reef Resort was wonderful. The area was nice, lots of restaurants around, in driving distance. Hotel was right on the beach with a great ovean view! Our Daughter loved the lazy river and waterpark. The room was fine, nothing fancy, but nice. My only complaint is that the beds were pretty hard. Other than that I would stay here again.

The hotel was very nice there were a few things that could be improved. Our air conditioning was very loud and the lighting in the bathroom was poor. We had a good time it was nice to be able to use the pool late at night, no one kicked us out and it was around midnight when we swimming.

Would stay here again.

We had a great time at this hotel. Some of the room amenities were a little old but it was still a nice place to stay. There were plenty of chairs and hot tubs to enjoy.

What a wonderfully delightful place to stay!!!!

Very efficient and pleasant check-in. ( and with Expedia, check out we didn’t have to do anything!!) This resort was on top of everything. We will be taking our grandkids next time!

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

This hotel has PLENTY for the kids (all ages) to do with a kid’s program at least every weekend. The breakfast / lunch cafe was a pleasant surprise, and the beach right at the back door. we are 57 & 70 and enjoyed all we did.

This hotel was pretty good , i had never been to myrtle beach so i didnt know what to expect. The location of the hotel was good and quite , very clean , the staff was friendly. This hotel had a lot of the things for the kids , so next time my two year will be joining me. The beach was out back and clean and warm. There are so many places to eat and things to see next i plan on staying a week.The only bad thing is the parking was like so crazy its only 12 spaces in front then the rest are across the street or even down 2 blocks, the lobby was always crowed with guest coming and going, we arrived on a Friday my check-in time was about 5min because i wanted a room on a higher floor.I dont normally do hotels i’ve never heard of, but ocean reef impressed me . I cant wait to return back and stay at this hotel , the rates were so cheap i thought something had to be wrong , but this is a clean nice , and friendly hotel two thumbs up!!!!!! one last thing the security guards was to darn nosey everytime we left or stepped out they were there watching our every move .

please drive and dont take a taxi/ because this hotel is about a 10min drive from all of Myrtle Beach attractions , not really walking distance unless you just want a beach vacation

Great Weekend!

We had a great weekend at Ocean Reef. The kids loved the pool(s)and the buffet breakfast was very good. Rooms were clean and service staff were extra nice. Will stay there again.

Not impressed

The check in process took almost an hour--most of it standing in line! The hotel was old, but the room clean. No room service, no breakfast. The beach was noisy at night. For the ridiculous nightly rate, we were not impressed at all!

The pool was great, the beach was great. The kids had a blast. I cant wait till my next trip to MB I’ll b sure to book at the same place.

Great place to stay

Our room was great, lots of activity for the children. Enjoyed the pool side bar and the hotel restaurant had a great breakfast.

Redneck Riviera

This hotel is OK, nothing special except the oceanfront view from our balcony. Check in was a nightmare, not the desk staff’s fault just too many people.The hotel is huge so the beach and pool were very crowded.I think my family was the only one that wasn’t covered in tatoos and without an infant on the beach.

Nice Hotel

Overall I had a nice stay. On our arrival we had difficulty in finding a place to unload my vehicle. The lobby floor seemed cut-up but after a day of exploring we got used to it. The room was nice and clean. My wife loved the jetted bathtub. The breakfast buffet was good and the waitstaff was great. My son loved the kiddie pool with all the fun water devices. Beach access was awesome. Beach grill and bar was a nice addition. Housekeeping kept our room in excellent condition.

I found Martin’s restaurant next door to be an excellent place to eat. I had an excellent Filet Mignon and lobster tail. Great service.

Great weekend

We had a long weekend in an ocean front efficiency and had a great time for a great price. Can’t wait to go back!

Excellent Ocean View!

Hubby and I went for a long weekend. Loved having a balcony overlooking the ocean! This hotel was a great bargain. Clean and definitely family oriented, not really a romantic place to stay for couples, but children didn’t bug us. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our hairdryer didn’t work and they had to change out the whole outlet. This was taken care of very promptly.

Will Come Back For Next Beach Trip!

We didn’t know what to expect but the hotel was very nice and the prices were very reasonable. If you go to the Ocean Reef Resort’s actual website, you will see their pictures and the pictures do not lie!

Excellent Stay

We stayed oceanfront and had an excellent room. It was very clean, only bad thing was that the drain in the tub drained slowly. The elevators were fast and easy to get for such a large hotel. The pool area was exceptional, very large with plenty of chairs. They had a pool bar and they cooked hot dogs and hamburgers poolside every afternoon. Overall very, very nice.
