No restaurant
The hotel itself was good, but they advertise and have menus in the rooms for a restaurant/room service that doesnt exist. There are no restaurants nearby so it became very difficult to eat meals.

Great hotel - just a little far away from things...
It was a nice clean hotel with friendly staff. They have free DSL internet in each room as well as a computer you can use in the sitting area. They have a nice roof-top sitting area which is really nice when the sun is shining. Theyre breakfast is pretty good for a continental. In the immediate area there is a flower shop, news stand, and 2 different good "fast" italian food shops.
Traveler's tip
Bus 90 is the fastest way to and from the Termini train station. It runs until midnight. Bus 60 will take you down around the ancient city. To get to the Vatican city, take bus 90 to Termini then catch 40 all the way there. Full day and multi-day metro tickets are a good idea.

The ARS is the contemporary answer...
My wife and I recently returned from our honeymoon and we enjoyed our stay at the ARS in Rome. Located just outside the main tourist hotspot of Rome, the public transportation makes it easy to get from point A to point B. The staff was helpful and the room was great. Free Wi-Fi is a plus. The included breakfast is really good and we wouldnt mind staying at the ARS again during another trip to Rome.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
No need to rent a car. Be sure to purchase metro bus tickets before 9:00p, as most of the shops shut down during the weekdays at this time, and walking is not that fun. They offer an all-day pass for around 4 euro, which worked out really well during our stay in Rome. Tennis shoes are recommended for this kind of trip.
